Yahoo! Italia enriches its mobile content by an agreement with Italian mobile entertainment pioneer, Wireless Solutions. By implementing Wireless Solutions' Mobile Entertainment billing platform for ringtones and logos, Yahoo! Users can now swap images and fun with friends online.

Milan, 7 March 2002 - Yahoo!, the world's most visited Internet site, and Wireless Solutions, (Gruppo DADA), a European leader in wireless application services, today announced the signing of an agreement to integrate the PREMIUM Mobile Entertainment platform on Yahoo!'s Mobile channel.

Besides offering a choice of thousands of logos and ringtones to download directly to cell phones, Wireless Solutions' Mobile Entertainment platform enables users of Yahoo! Italia to send multimedia content using the new EMS (Enhanced Messaging System) technology.

Among the first providers in Europe to adopt the EMS standard, Wireless Solutions ushers in a new era of third generation multimedia services in Italy, extending compatibility to all the major handset makers and opening up fresh opportunities for entertainment applications on the mobile phone.

Recent studies found that sharing games and leisure related information and products and fun messages make up half the total volume of SMS communications.

Now, thanks to the Mobile Entertainment platform, Yahoo!'s Mobile portal is poised to drive the growth of its young, enthusiastic community of mobile and wireless users.
