See Wireless Solutions at the 3GSM World Congress
Wireless Solutions will be present at the Third Edition of the GSM World Congress, the annual telecommunications exhibition organized by the GSM Association.
The company will be available to visitors at stand G54 - Hall 2 at the Cannes Conference Center.
Milan, February 18, 2002 - With over 24,000 visitors, 468 exhibiting companies representing a full 135 countries, the GSM World Congress confirmed its position in 2001 as the leading European mobile telephony fair.
The 2002 edition looks equally promising: bigger than ever, this year's exhibition will present the first GPRS services and unveil the secrets of third generation telephony.
Over the four days of the show (February 19-22) firms from the sector, industry leaders, IT professionals and consumers will have the opportunity to see for themselves the latest Mobile Internet technologies in today's fastest growing business area.
A recent study by SIRMI found that "over 85% of companies say they have mobile personnel" while Gartner stated that "by 2004 message oriented middleware (MOM) will be the dominant form of mobile connection to enterprise applications". Such findings come as welcome news and a huge incentive to companies such as Wireless Solutions which develop and promote such services in Italy.
At Cannes Wireless Solutions will be presenting its "Instant Messaging Gateway", a Wireless Instant Messaging platform developed jointly with the US company Odigo Inc. The service allows bi-directional, secure transmission of messages between the carriers' SMS (Short Message Service) network and popular IM providers such as MSN, Yahoo!, AOL, ICQ and Odigo's IM network.
The new service will enable users to receive and send messages securely to and from mobile devices-using Odigo's IM service and the leading Instant Messaging networks-via Wireless Solutions' IM SMS Gateway.
In the last two years millions of users have adopted Instant Messaging for personal and professional purposes. Every month more than 15 billion SMS messages and over 30 million instant messages are sent via the Web.
The mission of Wireless Solutions, majority controlled by Internet company DADA, is to push the frontiers of integrated messaging for the B2C markets as well as for B2B, an area in which the company has already announced a deal with TIM for the distribution in Italy of the Blackberry GPRS handset.
